Best knowledgeable attorney out there
Jay truly stands out in the legal field. I don’t think I’ve met any other lawyer who can argue a case so passionately, with unwavering strength and incredible technical acumen, yet at the same time treat their clients with genuine friendliness and courtesy.
He represented us in a small claims case where we were being sued by someone whom I can only describe as the living embodiment of narcissitic impunity. Jay argued the hell out of our case and got us a fantastic settlement. Not only did Jay exhibit an impressive mastery of the legal intricacies required to champion our cause, but he also consistently demonstrated a level of empathy and understanding that put us at ease throughout the entire process.

I can’t say enough about Attorney Jay Zaheer and his team, the pure kindness and dedication to their clients goes above and beyond. I was the sort of landlord to do notice, memo, warning letters myself and go through lots of pain and anxiety trying to save few hundred $$$.
I spoke to Jay for a reference for another client and as an attorney he respected the privacy of the tenant but i discovered how well he represented the landlord in that scenario. I went ahead and used him for over 15 notices and the tenants take them so seriously I have never had an issue with over stay. I recommended him to another friend of mine and they are happy as well. If you want someone to get the message across then Jay is your man.

Jay helped me with a bad tenant situation that caused me alot of headaches. Jay and his staff was great in regards to helping me resolve this issue over time. They were very helpful with the entire process from beginning to end. I highly recommend hiring Jay, if you’re dealing with any tenant issues at your rental property.

Mr. Zaheer handled it
I hired J. Zaheer back in 2020, in regards to a very difficult housing court case that had all the signs of going sideways. Mr Zaheer took care of everything, he was timely, informative, contacting me repeatedly and controlling the situation like a good attorney does. He kept me informed of all filings, motions and judgements . He was very professional and I appreciated his business like attitude. If I had any business that needed the attention of an attorney , I would call Mr. Zaheer immediately.

Jay helping me on eviction cases again! He is great at communication(text, call), also explained me the cases, directed me in right steps/strategies, also he tried to save my cost(he understands no payment rent already set landlord in big finance lose) by making tenant agree to drop discovery answer to save cost, also not wasting money in opposition in filing. His office always communicated quickly and followed up with steps(notice, execution etc)! very happy with his legal consultation on tenant matter!

Excellent communication, fast & efficient processing of eviction
We have used AVVO for a number of legal matters and again, researched when a tenant eviction issue arose. Jay handled the entire process in an efficient, quick and expert manner. We were updated all steps of the way and had complete confidence in his handling the issue. Will definitely use again!

I reached out to Jay regarding an issue I was having with my landlord that was refusing to make repairs for a unit I was renting. It was truly a mess. The health department had to get involved. Jay returned my call within 24 hours and stayed on the phone for a good hour patiently listening to the mess I was in. He immediately scheduled me an appointment for a free consultation. Upon my arrival Jay was extremely professional, welcoming, understanding and knowledgeable! He took my case without any hesitation and was able to settle things out of court quickly without charging me an arm and leg! I would definitely recommend him!

Jay has far exceeded my expectations! Not only is he intelligent, but he also makes sure you’re saving in the long run by looking at all avenues of the law and showing you the best way to handle the matter. Jay was so responsive!!! Mr. Lazeer was very helpful and successful helping my elderly father with a non-payment of rent eviction. We established a goal with this case, got complete costs upfront, and very prompt replies to all of our questions. Since we were mostly interested in getting tenant to leave the premises, back rent not being our first priority, Mr. Lazeer was able to complete this in just two weeks.
He is professional, friendly and tells you exactly how he will proceed.
I am happy to give a recommendation to anyone having a tenant issue.

I had a very wonderful experience with attorney Zaheer evicting a tenant that had been living in a home I purchased. After buying a house and having a tenant refuse to leave one of the units, Mr Zaheer began the eviction process, which took approximately 3 months. However, this process took less time than we had originally anticipated. Buying a house with living tenants can be a very uncomfortable situation for both parties, but attorney Zaheer made the process fast, convenient and best of all, it got resolved in less time then expected. Not only Is he knowledgeable about the work he does, but he is also very nice and listens to your concerns. I am very pleased with the results we obtained from this experience and can recommend his services to all my friends and family. Thank you so Much Jay!

Bullies exist but not on Jay’s watch
My children and I experienced 12 months of harassment my landlord and were stuck in a lease.
The landlord not only invaded our privacy but robbed us of months of enjoying peace and quiet in our home. We were on pins and needles all the time. My children were scared and I felt powerless and alone, until I hired Jay Zaheer.
Jay knows the law and reminded me tenants have rights, too and bullies can be stopped! He was responsive and completely invested in my case. He took the time to listen, read every email I sent to him, and guide me through my situation. He remembered more than my name; he remembers important dates, like final walk-throughs, and was there for us. When Jay says, he “has your back,” he means it and those three words led to my first good night’s sleep in almost 12 months.
I no longer felt my children and I were held hostage by terms of a lease that were clearly broken by the landlord. Don’t be a victim, know your rights.
I strongly recommend Jay’s services. I wish I had found him sooner and so will you!

Best Closing Attorney!
We hired Jay to sell and then close on our home in Haverhill. He was amazing! Our closing was delayed (through no fault of Jay’s) and we were very close to having the whole deal fall apart. But Jay made sure that he stayed on top of the issue and kept us in the loop so that the next day we moved into our new home. We are sure that without Jay we would have lost the deal. I highly recommend him. You are not just a number to him you are part of his practice and it shows!
