Jahangir “Jay” Zaheer, Esq.
Jahangir “Jay” Zaheer is the Managing Attorney at Zaheer Law Group, PLLC and brings over a decade of experience in personal injury litigation. A graduate of the Massachusetts School of Law, he earned his Juris Doctorate with multiple academic honors and was certified under Supreme Judicial Court Rule 3:03, representing clients while still in law school.
Jay began his legal career as a litigation paralegal for top personal injury firms in New York before relocating to Massachusetts, where he served as litigation manager at one of Boston’s top 100 law firms. He was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts at both the state and federal level and has since delivered trusted legal advocacy for a diverse client base.
Landlord-Tenant and Tenant-Landlord cases are also one of our specialties.
With a multicultural background and a practical understanding of the legal system, Jay is committed to fighting for those impacted by injury or negligence. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and frequently speaks at educational events for first-time homebuyers through organizations like CHAPA and Medford Community Housing.

Shabnam Mashmasarmi is a Partner at Zaheer Law Group, PLLC, where she leads with a focus on personal injury, real estate, estate planning, and business law. With a commitment to client advocacy and a reputation for results, she delivers strategic legal solutions grounded in compassion, precision, and transparency.

In addition to her role at the firm, Shabnam serves as a Foreclosure Commissioner for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, overseeing regulatory compliance in foreclosure proceedings. She is also the Broker of Record and Chief Operating Officer of OnyxGroup, a real estate development and brokerage firm she co-founded to foster equitable access to homeownership. OnyxGroup made history as the first MWBE developer to build in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Shabnam is a proud Brockton native, holding a degree from Boston College, a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School, and a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University. She is licensed to practice in New York, Massachusetts, Florida, and the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts.

Tieara Rivera is the Senior Paralegal at Zaheer Law Group, PLLC, bringing over a decade of administrative and client support experience to the firm. Known for her dedication, resilience, and hands-on approach, Tieara plays an integral role in supporting the legal team across a range of personal injury, real estate, and litigation matters.
Landlord-Tenant and Tenant-Landlord cases are also one of our specialties, and Tieara provides key paralegal support in managing these matters with care and precision.
Prior to joining Zaheer Law Group in 2022, Tieara served as a Bilingual Case Manager at Bridgewell for over 10 years, where she provided critical services to underserved communities. Her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and guide them through complex systems has made her a trusted and empathetic presence in every setting.
A proud Latina and first-generation college student, Tieara studied Criminal Justice and Corrections at North Shore Community College and continued her education at Salem State University. She views every opportunity as a chance to grow, lead, and uplift others and brings that mindset into every client interaction.
